(Emmetsburg)– Two new nursing programs at Iowa Lakes Community College have received initial accreditation. The Practical Nursing and Associate Degree in Nursing Programs received the designation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. ILCC officials say the accreditation process took five years, culminating in a successful site visit in the Fall of 2023.
They add the initial accreditation is a seal of quality for the college’s nursing program, adding that it enhances the value of graduates in the job market and provides them with the guarantee of a comprehensive and competitive education. College officials say the accreditation also allows credit transfers to occur more easily for students looking to continue their education.
