(Spencer)– No injuries were reported but there was a considerable amount of property damage in a collision Friday in the 3400 mile of 200th Avenue in Clay county.
The sheriff’s Office says 57-year-old Eric Langholz of Spencer was driving a 2004 Oldsmobile northbound and was signaling to turn left into a parking lot. Deputies say 41-year-old Anthony Butler of Spencer was driving a 2018 Dodge Ram northbound when he came upon the vehicle driven by Langholz. Authorities say Butler maneuvered his vehicle in front of the Langholz vehicle, causing the vehicle driven by Langholz to collide with the one driven by Butler. Butler’s vehicle then spun out in some grass.
Butler was cited with reckless driving and improper lane change.
Damage to the Oldsmobile driven by Langholz was estimated at $2,500 while the Dodge Ram driven by Butler sustained an estimated $10,000 in damage.
