Queen II Escapes Damage After Becoming Unmoored In Strong Wind Late Tuesday

May 23, 2024 Steve Schwaller

(Arnolds Park)– Other than a bit of scuffed paint, the Queen II escaped damage after becoming unmoored during high wind late Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Arnolds Park CEO Jon Pausley says crews with Clary’s Lake Service and divers with Underwater Solutions inspected the Queen II today (Wed.) and found no concerns. The Queen II was returned to her normal docking position following a test cruise.

Pausley says the first public cruise of the season is scheduled for this Saturday, May 25th.
