(Spencer)– Heavy rain in some areas overnight is pushing rivers back up. The National Weather Service has once again issued flood warnings for the Little Sioux and Ocheyedan Rivers at Spencer. The Little Sioux is expected to crest at 10.7 feet Wednesday evening before dropping back below flood stage on Friday. The Ocheyedan River at Spencer is expected to rise to 8.2 feet Wednesday evening. Flood stage is 8 feet. It’s expected to drop back below flood stage Thursday afternoon.
Minor flooding is expected on both rivers.
