(Jackson)- A grand opening celebration was held Wednesday for Fendt Lodge along Industrial Parkway in Jackson. Fendt and AGCO customers, as well as company leadership, family and community guests were in attendance as the large new complex was christened, with a ribbon cutting introducing the community to the new space. Eric Hansotia, President and CEO of AGCO was in attendance, and had some words for the gathering and the new building…
“Today we’re celebrating the Fendt Lodge, and it represents a number of things. It represents what I’ve said is, we’re planting our flag strongly in this North America market and saying we are here to stay, we are going to be a leader in this market. Number two, it’s a way for us to explain the overall Fendt brand promise . Many customers are still not as familiar with Fendt as some of you are, so it’s a way to experience the product, a way to experience the overall service and the overall Fendt brand experience. But maybe more important is the third reason, and that is to be able to invite hundreds and thousands of customers into the Fendt Lodge so that we can listen, and we can learn about what’s going on in their farm, so we can continue to evolve our business to make sure we’re serving them very very well.”
Also in attendance were leaders of Fendt, including leadership from Germany, where the brand originates from. City figures were also in attendance, with Chamber Director Corey Christopher there, and Jackson Mayor Marcus Polz giving remarks…
“It’s the type of location for customers to visit, the City of Jackson is going to see thousands of new travelers. And if I recall hearing from Brandon I think we have 8,000 people or so scheduled to come to the City of Jackson before the end of the year. So that increases traffic, we understand the need for lodging, restaurants, amenities, we’ve identified and begun to address the need for market rate housing, and none of it would be possible without the presence of Fendt in our community.”
The lodge has a number of spaces for customers to visit, learn more about Fendt products, and even host conferences as a space for community customers or those more worldwide.
