(Sioux City)– A Sheldon man has been sentenced to federal prison after pleading guilty to distribution of child pornography. 22-year-old Henry Araica-Gonzalez was sentenced Thursday to 12 years.
Evidence showed that in February 2023 a minor victim disclosed a sexual relationship with Araica-Gonzalez, leading to an investigation. Law enforcement executed a search warrant and that Araica-Gonzalez admitted he filmed some of the sexual encounters on his and the victim’s cell phones. He also admitted that at least on one occasion he sent the videos to the victim.
In addition to the prison term, Araica-Gonzalez will be required to serve a 5-year term of supervised release.
