City Of Lake Park Moving Forward With Marketing Effort

(Lake Park)– The Lake Park City Council Monday voted to proceed with a proposal from a local marketing firm to promote the city and its amenities. Mayor Matt Carstensen says it stems from a decision the council made last year to proceed with a long range strategic plan…

“One of the parts of that strategic planning was making sure that we as the city of Lake Park and the people that live here, are letting people know who we are and what our city is and what we have to offer and why you should want to come to Lake Park. Why you should want to have a business here or have one of those houses we just talked about, you know, be living in one of those. We have so much that is a positive for our community. We just passed a school bond issue this last fall, we’re adding a new elementary. Main street has so few buildings open on it any more, it’s wonderful to be part of a vibrant business community on main street. And just the positive attitude of the council. I mean we’re trying the best we can to move forward. So part of that is letting people know that and that’s why we’re studying how do you brand Lake Park? How do you let people know who we are what we do?”

Carstensen says a re-vamp of the city’s website will be part of that.
