(Spirit Lake)– Dickinson County Supervisors today (Tues.) awarded the low bid of a little more than $1.1 million for a paving project on the south side of Center Lake. It includes 165th Street and 225th Place from 220th Avenue east to Highway 71. The bid from Blacktop Services of Humboldt was nearly $18,000 below the engineer’s estimate.
The project has a late start date of this coming August 2nd.
The cities of Spirit Lake and Okoboji will be sharing small portions of the cost, as they also have jurisdiction along certain segments of the project.
