(Spencer)– Some buildings in downtown Spencer that were heavily damaged in a fire a couple of years ago are coming back to life. The Spencer City Council Monday evening approved a $50,000 allocation to assist M & M Grand Ventures in securing a Catalyst Grant to revitalize the buildings located at 215, 217, 219 and 221 Grand Avenue. Eric Meeter of M & M Grand Ventures told the council they plan to do the project in stages, with the first phase centered on the upper level of the buildings…
He says the second phase will be focused on the lower level…
Meeter says they’ll be starting a YouTube channel known as “Main Street Archaeology” which will update the progress of the renovations.
He says the apartments will be available as short term or long term rentals and will have a boutique/hotel type of theme.
