(Undated)– Most of northwest Iowa will be under a high fire danger the next couple of days. The National Weather Service says much warmer temperatures will combine once again with a strong south wind, low humidity and dry vegetation to create the danger.
A red flag warning has been issued for all of northwest Iowa today (Thurs.) with the exception of Dickinson, Lyon and Osceola counties. It goes into effect at noon and runs until 7:00 pm this (Thurs.) evening.
Forecasters say any fire that does get going will have the potential to spread very quickly. They say outdoor burning is not reecommended.
