Crash Injures Three People From Sibley

(Dexter, Mn.)– Three people from Sibley were injured early this (Wed.) morning in a single vehicle crash on Interstate 90 in southeast Minnesota.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 43-year-old Esteban Gomez of Sibley lost control of a 2020 Chevrolet as he was traveling eastbound on the interstate. Troopers say the vehicle left the road and rolled.

Gomez escaped injury in the crash. Three passengers, 45-year-old Aaron Gomez, 35-year-old Floribarto Lopez and 32-year-old Jose Lopez, all of Sibley, were taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. Their injuries were described as non-life threatening.

Troopers say the road was snow and ice covered at the time of the crash. It happened around 2:00 am.
