A winter weather advisory will be in effect from 11:00 am this morning until midnight tonight for Cottonwood, Murray and Redwood counties in southwest Minnesota where up to 5 inches of snow could fall. A winter storm warning is in effect for an area just to the north of that. It includes places like Marshall, Minnesota and Brookings, South Dakota. Up to 7 inches of snow could fall in those locations.
