Road That Was Closed Due To Wind Turbine Malfunction Has Re-Opened

February 10, 2024 Steve Schwaller

(Sibley)– A road in Osceola county that had been closed over concerns about a nearby malfunctioning wind turbine has reopened.

Osceola County Road A22 was closed Thursday after it was discovered a blade on a nearby wind turbine was off kilter. Emergency Mangement officials say the turbine’s generator came apart. They say there was no additional danger once that happened and the road was reopened.

Authorities add there was NO fire and no debris wound up on the road.
