(Spirit Lake)-It’s time to get teams together for Get Up & Bowl for Special Olympics. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The 13th Annual Get Up & Bowl for Special Olympics will be held April 28.
Organizer Mike Ross with Business Today says, registration is open for teams. “Each team consists of 4 to 6 people. It can be a business, it can be just a group of people, there’s really not a lot of rules to it, and one of the really special things about it, usually an athlete will bowl with a team as the event gets underway.”
He adds that they are seeking sponsors at this time. “We’re looking for corporate sponsors. It’s only $600 for a corporate sponsor, and what you get with that is, you get a team in the event. You also get all the social media and print marketing, as well as a lot of the door to door stuff we’re doing, name drops, all that stuff. We’ve had great sponsors for all these years and we want to make sure that it’s a valued event for them, and of course, we always appreciate what they help provide.”
He notes that they are also accepting donations for the silent auction. “If it’s a monetary item, you can drop it off at Business Today. Same with a silent auction item. On my website, businesstodayusa.com, I also have the ways you can help and a sign up sheet for the bowling team.”
