(Arnolds Park)– Students involved in this year’s Youth in Philanthropy program have set a fundraising goal of $75,000, their highest fundraising target since the program started 14 years ago.
The program is offered through the Okoboji Foundation. It teaches students about community giving and the impact of raising and granting funds to local organizations. It encourages personal connections and deeper relationships with donors.
Youth in Philanthropy encourages public participation in sponsoring the student’s fundraising efforts. Every dollar contributed goes directly back to the community through grants which will be awarded in March. Donations and student sponsorships may be made online at okobojifoundation.org/yip.
