(Okoboji)– A new group that promotes the arts in the region has a new logo.
Allison Rhymer of Pleasant Hill, Iowa won a thousand dollars for her winning logo design for ArtsLive. Her design highlights four areas of the “live” arts: speech and drama; music; visual arts and dance. The logo has the tag line: “Where the Arts Thrive”.
The new logo is one of 42 submissions in the contest.
Rhymer is a graphic designer for a Newton, Iowa-based company that specializes in digital interactive media and print design.
Rhymer has direct ties to the Iowa Great Lakes. Raised in Sloan, she has been coming to a family cabin on East Lake Okoboji for many years.
The new logo will be included on the ArtsLive website, currently under construction.
The winning logo was selected at a recent ArtsLive Board of Directors meeting.
