(Storm Lake)– Four northwest Iowa men have been arrested for causing mischief in and around Storm Lake early this (Monday) morning.
Just after 12:30 a.m., Storm Lake police observed several people smashing pumpkins at homes in the 400 block of west Fifth Street. When the suspects saw the officers, they fled on foot. There were finally caught on the campus of Buena Vista University, where all four reside.
Police also found the men to be in possession of signs stolen from a Storm Lake bar.
Police arrested 21-year-old Brant Goodchild of Royal; 21-year-old Adam Galm of Hartley; 21-year-old Ryan Gau of Woodbine and 22-year-old Michael Nicholson of Osage. All four were charged with public intoxication and possession of stolen property and booked into the Buena Vista county jail.
The county Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrests.
