(Emmetsburg)– An ongoing investigation by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office has landed two Emmetsburg residents in jail on drug charges.
Authorities say 47-year-old Steven Farris and 42-year-old Jeanette Hintz were arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor; possession of methamphetamine…a serious misdemeanor; and gathering where drugs are used and possessed…a class “D” felony.
The two were booked into the Palo Alto county jail on bond of nearly 10-thousand dollars.
Palo Alto county authorities say the arrests stem from a search warrant executed earlier this year at 3143 450th Avenue in Palo Alto county that resulted in the seizure of several items that were later analyzed at the DCI Crime Lab.
Sheriff Dennis Goeders says the investigation continues and more arrests are expected.
