(Sioux City)– A meth charge has been filed against a Sheldon man in U-S District Court.
30-year-old Jeffrey Paeper has been charged with one count of conspiring to manufacture and possess with the intent to distribute methamphetamine within a thousand feet of a school. The charges are contained in an indictment filed last week in U-S District Court in Sioux City.
The indictment alleges that between 2002 through December 18th, 2003 Paeper and others conspired to manufacture, distribute and possess with the intent to distribute methamphetamine within a thousand feet of the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Middle School in Sanborn.
If convicted Paeper faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years imprisonment and up to a maximum of life along with an eight million dollar fine and atleast 10 years of supervised release following any imprisonment.
Paeper appeared last Friday in Federal Court and was ordered held without bond.
