(Spencer)– A theft charge has been filed against a Paullina man in connection with a theft of some aluminum from a Spencer company.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 50-year-old Terry Wirkus was arrested after a sheriff’s deputy found him in possession of stolen aluminum. The deputy made the arrest following a brief investigation after he stopped a vehicle Wirkus was in for a motorist assist.
Wirkus was charged with theft in the fourth degree and was booked into the Clay county jail.
The stolen aluminum was returned to the business.
Authorities say their investigation continues and more arrests are expected.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Spencer Police Department.
