(Spirit Lake)– A two-vehicle collision this (Thurs.) morning in Spirit Lake sent two people to the hospital to be checked over for possible injuries.
Police say vehicles driven by 63-year-old Ruth Repert and 37-year-old Sue Anderson both of Spirit Lake collided at the intersection of Highway 71 and 23rd Street. Authorities say Repert was southbound on Highway 71 and Anderson was westbound on 23rd Street.
Both drivers were taken by personal vehicle to Lakes Regional Healthcare to be checked over for possible injuries.
Five thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Repert while a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Anderson sustained an estimated 3,500-dollars in damage.
The mishap took place shortly before 9:00 a.m. It remains under investigation.
