Traffic Stop/Search Warrants Result In Drug-Related Arrests

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A traffic stop Tuesday evening in Everly and subsequent search warrants have resulted in drug charges being filed against several people.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it all started around 7:46 p.m. Tuesday when a deputy pulled over a vehicle in Everly for speeding. An investigation determined the driver, 45-year-old Ricky Grover of Spencer, was driving on a barred license and showed no proof of insurance. A subsequent search turned up a baggie of marijuana and a marijuana pipe on Grover’s person. Grover was booked into the Clay county jail and charged with driving while barred, possession of a controlled substance…marijuana, no proof of insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Upon further investigation deputies executed a search warrant at 512 Eighth Avenue West in Spencer which led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia. 40-year-old Tracey Grover was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Ricky Grover was charged with a second count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

A second search warrant was executed at 401 East Second Street in Everly, resulting in the discovery of additional drug paraphernalia. 32-year-old Kevin Dillingham and 24-year-old Latosha Burger were arrested and booked into the Clay county jail. Both were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
