(Wallingford)– The Wallingford Fire Department will soon be offering a new service.
Fire Chief Jarrod Fischer says they’re starting up a First Responder/EMT service for the community. He says firefighters were looking for another way to service the community and feel this is a very important service that had been lacking in the past.
Fischer says five Wallingford firefighters have been certified as emergency first responders. He says they plan on start offering emergency medical services next week after getting the go-ahead from the state.
Fischer thanks everyone who helped make it possible for the department to start offering Emergency Medical Services, including the community, fire department members, the Mayor and township trustees.
