IRRMA Announces 2006 Hall Of Fame Inductions

November 22, 2014

(Arnolds Park)- The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association Wednesday announced its 2006 Hall of Fame inductees. They include bands the Teen Beats and the Dodge Boys, along with Shore Acres Ballroom…all of Sioux City; the Freedom Rock Band of Storm Lake and the Scavengers from Sutherland along with Junior’s Motel Recording Studio in Otho.

From the southeast region, the band Union Jacks from Clinton, individual artist Fred Moore of Keokuk and the Adler Theatre of Davenport.

From South-Central Iowa, the bands ROZE and Rural, along with KFMG radio in Des Moines.

From southwest Iowa, the Thunderbirds from Bedford and Willie Leacox of Shenadoah.

The out-of-state inductee for 2006 is the Castaways from Minneapolis and their “Liar, Liar” record producer Timothy Kehr.

All of the inductions will take place during a special ceremony Labor Day Weekend. In the past the induction has been just a one-day affair. But officials are looking at expanding it to two days this year as the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
