(Jackson, Mn.)– Federated Rural Electric Association says power has been restored to all of its members in its Jackson county service territory. Power was restored to the final members affected by Tuesday’s outage around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Officials warn that some lines still have a significant ice build-up on them and are low-hanging. They’re urging anyone who sees anything like that to report it.
Ice up to three inches thick resulted in a massive power outage Tuesday that affected most of Jackson county. The ice brought down lines, damaged insulators and broke cross-arms off some poles.
