November 22, 2014

(Windom, Mn.)– A Primghar couple was injured when a car they were in was involved in a head-on crash with a semi tractor/trailer in southwest Minnesota.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the mishap took place around 5:17 p.m. Sunday on Highway 60 just east of Windom. Authorities say it involved a 2002 semi tractor/trailer driven by 66-year-old Malcolm Cornett of Libery, Nebraska and a Honda Accord driven by 54-year-old Jerry Deridter of Primghar. Deridter and a passenger in his vehicle, 52-year-old Gloria Deridter, also of Primghar, were taken by ambulance to the Windom hospital where they were treated for broken ankles. No injuries were reported to Cornett.

Both the semi and car were totaled.
