Osceola Co. Authorities Find 12 Illegal Alien-Workers

(Melvin)– An Osceola county poultry operation is minus some workers.

The Sheriff’s Office says it pulled over a vehicle owned by D & H Poultry of Sibley Tuesday for an alleged traffic violation on Highway 59 about six miles north of Melvin. Upon investigation, deputies discovered there were 13 people in the vehicle employed by D & H Poultry. It was determined 12 of the 13 were illegally employed in the U-S.

Agents with the U-S Immigration and Customs Enforcement took custody of the 12 people. They were transported to Sioux City for processing.
