(Spirit Lake)– A power outage made Monday morning life all that more interesting for lakes area residents.
Officials with Alliant Energy tell KUOO news an insulator on a main transmission line just east of Vick’s Corner failed around 9:30 a.m. That line feeds Spirit Lake and the lakes area.
Power was knocked out to an estimated eight thousand customers in Arnolds Park, Montgomery, Okoboji, Orleans and Spirit Lake for about 45 minutes.
