(Spirit Lake)– The execution of a search warrant Monday afternoon on a Spirit Lake residence has resulted in the arrests of seven people…most of them for underage drinking.
Spirit Lake police conducted the search at 504 19th Street around 3:45 p.m. in connection with an ongoing theft and shoplifting investigation at a local business.
As the warrant was being executed by the Spirit Lake Police Department and Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, authorities say they encountered a large gathering of minors…several who were drinking alcohol.
21-year-old Omasan McCarthy of Spirit Lake was charged with frequenting a disorderly house; 20-year-old Isra Brooks of Spencer was charged with theft in the fifth degree, possession of alcohol under the legal age and frequenting a disorderly house; 21-year-old Elizabeth Lorenzen of Spirit Lake was charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana and frequenting a disorderly house; 20-year-old Asley Rebuhn of Spirit Lake was charged with keeping a disorderly house; 20-year-old Stephanie Vigdal of Spirit Lake was charged with frequenting a disorderly house; 18-year-old Devin Guzman of Spirit Lake was charged with frequenting a disorderly house and possession of alcohol under the legal age; and 20-year-old Danny Guzman of Chicago, Illinois was charged with frequenting a disorderly house and possession of alcohol under the legal age.
In addition to alcohol and narcotics being found, authorities say evidence from the initial theft investigation was also found at the residence.
