(Spencer)– A two-vehicle accident over the weekend in Clay county resulted in injuries to a Peterson man.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 47-year-old Donovan Taylor of Peterson was driving a 1989 Chevrolet Celebrity and had stopped for a stopsign. Authorities say Taylor was starting to make a left-turn when a 2003 Ford pickup driven by 51-year-old Patrick Gillespie of Lake Park swerved to the right, colliding with the driver’s side of the vehicle driven by Taylor.
Taylor sustained minor injuries. No injuries were reported to Gillespie.
Eight thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the pickup driven by Gillespie; the Chevrolet Celebrity driven by Taylor was totaled.
The mishap took place around 1:40 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Clay county roads M-27 and B-24.
