(Arnolds Park)– Meeting in special session Thursday, the Arnolds Park City Council set February 15th as the date for a public hearing on a proposal to adopt a Planning and Zoning Commission recommendation to add “Resort Enterprise District” to the city’s zoning classifications. Walker says that designation would cover the “Bridges Bay” development on the southeast side of East Lake Okoboji, should that area be annexed into Arnolds Park.
Developers have requested the annexation, but Walker says it’s still to early for the council to act on that. He says based on petitions that have been received so far, there would be islands. Walker says they want to see if others in that area would also be willing to be annexed.
