Weekend Traffic Stop In Milford Results In Drug Charges Against Three People

(Milford)– A weekend traffic stop in Milford has resulted in drug charges against three people.

Milford police say a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Lacey Reynolds of Milford was pulled over shortly before 1:00 a.m. Sunday for a traffic violation.

Upon further investigation and a search of the vehicle, officers found methamphetamine, syringes, a scale and other drug paraphernalia.

Reynolds and two passengers…19-year-old Nathan Franklin and 28-year-old Dustin Valencia both of Spencer…were charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver…a class “B” felony; possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor; and a drug tax stamp violation…a class “D” felony.

Additional charges of prohibited acts and operating while intoxicated were filed against Reynolds.

All three were booked into the Dickinson county jail.

Police say their investigation is ongoing.

Milford police were assisted by the Spirit Lake Police Department’s K-9 Unit and the Arnolds Park Police Department.
