Spencer Police Investigate Additional Vehicle Break-Ins

(Spencer)– Another rash of vehicle break-ins has Spencer police again reminding residents to keep their vehicles locked whenever they’re unattended.

The reports stem back to Thursday of last week when officers received a report of speakers, an amplifier and a c-d player that were removed from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Fourth Street Southeast. The items have a combined value of 480-dollars.

Authorities received another report of a vehicle break-in from the 100 block of East Park Street shortly after 6:00 a.m. Friday. A c-d player valued at 350-dollars was reported stolen.

Authorities received another report a short time later of a window broken out of a vehicle parked in the 600 block of East 11th Street. Damage was estimated at two-hundred dollars.

And authorities received a report shortly after 10:00 a.m. Sunday of a c-d player taken from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of East 11th Street. The player is valued at two-hundred dollars.
