(Wahpeton)– A local resident has received a special citation for his efforts in protecting the ecology of the Iowa Great Lakes.
The very first “Ace Cory Award For Conservation” was presented to John Synhorst at Saturday’s annual meeting of the Okoboji Protective Association.
O-P-A President Hank Miguel says Synhorst was honored for being a pioneer in producing private and public partnerships for wetland restorations in Dickinson county through groups such as Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever.
