Multiple Drug Charges Filed Against E’Ville Man

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– Multiple drug charges have been filed against an Estherville man after Dickinson county authorities received a report of suspicious activity late last week at a resort.

Upon arriving on the scene, officers made contact with 41-year-old Matthew Sheridan of Estherville. After further investigation, authorities arrested Sheridan and charged him with possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.

A search warrant was later obtained for the room in which Sheridan had been staying and for his vehicle. Authorities say the searches turned up items consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
Sheridan was then charged with manufacturing a controlled substance…methamphetamine; possession with intent to sell methamphetamine; two counts of possession of marijuana; unlawful possession of anhydrous ammonia; unlawful possession of precursors; transporting anhydrous ammonia in an unauthorized container; ongoing criminal conduct; keeping a dwelling for the purpose of possessing or selling a controlled substance; and two counts of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities say their investigation continues.
