November 22, 2014

(Jackson, Mn.)– A worker for Federated Rural Electric Association of Jackson who was critically burned in an accident a week ago continues to recuperate in a St. Paul hospital.

Mark Raboin, a journeyman lineman and a 32-year employee for the rural electric co-op, was injured July 17th as crews were moving poles for a road construction project west of Jackson along Jackson County Road 34.

Raboin was taken to the Jackson Medical Center and was airlifted to the Burn Center at Regions Hospital in St. Paul where he’s had two surgeries with more to follow.

Federated REA General Manager Richard Burud says Raboin’s left arm and wrist are the most severely damaged.
