(Emmetsburg)– Slightly more than 2,300-dollars has been awarded by the Western Iowa Tourism Region to a couple of education and promotion projects in Palo Alto county.
Park View Inn and Suites and Conference Center was awarded a thousand dollars for an education program; and the Emmetsburg Chamber of Commerce received 1,349-dollars for a promotion project.
The awards were made in cooperation with the Iowa Tourism Office, Iowa Department of Economic Development.
The Western Iowa Tourism Region serves 36 counties in the western third of Iowa. Organizations, events and attractions in the region are eligible for 38-thousand dollars in grant funds for tourism promotion, advertising and education.
