Local Airports Awarded Federal Funding

(Undated)– Some local airports will share in nearly 3.6 million dollars in federal grants being awarded to 13 Iowa airports.

Pocahontas was awarded 61,750-dollars to update the airport’s master plan study; Sheldon will get 206,480-dollars to construct a terminal building; and the Northwest Iowa Regional Airport in Spencer will receive 113,415-dollars to expand an apron.

The grants, released by the U-S Department of Transportation, allow for structural and safety upgrades.
