(Spirit Lake)– Road construction is making getting to and from the Bedell Family YMCA a bit of a challenge.
Spirit Lake City Administrator Pete Hegeman says those looking to access the Y will need to use 32nd Street until further notice. For those travelling on Highway 71, that’s the road between Remax and Schuchert Funeral Home. Hegeman says you can take 32nd Street east from Highway 71 to 235th Avenue, or Sunner Avenue, then turn south and drive very carefully. Traffic in the area just north of the Y is being diverted onto soccer fields.
Crews are also in the process of paving an easterly extension of County Home Road, or 41st Street, from Highway 71 to the YMCA.
