City Of Spencer Looking For Citizens To Serve On Boards And Commissions

(Spencer)– The city of Spencer is looking for citizens interested in serving on various boards and commissions.

City officials say a number of boards and commissions will have open positions this coming July 1st. They include the Airport Board of Trustees, the Historic Preservation Commission, the Library Board of Trustees, Park Board, Planning and Zoning Commission, the Utilities Board of Trustees, the Plumbing Board of Examiners and the Renaissance Initiative Committee.

Spencer residents wishing to serve on the one of those boards or commissions should send a brief resume or letter to Mayor Reynold Peterson at Spencer City Hall, 418 2nd Avenue West in Spencer or call 580-7200 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The vacancies are filled by appointment by the Mayor, with approval of the city council.
