Cause Of Palo Alto County Fire Ruled Accidental

November 22, 2014

(Emmetsburg)– The cause of a fire earlier this month in Palo Alto county that destroyed two buildings, including one with equipment inside it, has been ruled accidental in nature.

That word today (Tuesday) from the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities were called to the blaze at 4126 410th Street back on May 4th.

Firefighters from Emmetsburg and Ayrshire battled the blaze. However authorities say their efforts were hampered by high winds that were blowing that day.

Tools, several tractors, a combine and several other vehicles were destroyed in the blaze.

The buildings are owned by Bruce and Vic Johnson.

No injuries were reported.
