Peterson Woman Announces Candidacy For Clay County Supervisors

(Peterson)– A Peterson woman has announced her candidacy for Clay county board of supervisors.

Linda Swanson says she’ll serve as a strong voice for both rural and urban communities and would serve as an advocate for families and businesses in Clay county.

Swanson and her husband Allen are row crop farmers and run a cow/calf operation with their children. They’ve been involved in farming for 40 years.

Swanson also has worked part-time for the Iowa State University Extension for 21 years as a Program Coordinator and 15 years with Pro Crop.

Swanson has been involved in numerous volunteer positions and Clay county and was recently inducted into the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame.
