(Okoboji)– A fundraising event benefitting the Dickinson Nature Center will be held this Saturday (Feb. 25th) at the Inn of Okoboji. Naturalist Barb Tagami says proceeds will be used to install indoor plumbing and restrooms at the center, located at Kenue Park just north of Okoboji.
The festivities get underway at 6:30 p.m. Saturday with a mardi-gras theme buffet, followed by silent and live auctions of merchandise donated by lakes area businesses. There will also be entertainment featuring musician Billie James.
Saturday’s event is being put on by the Dickinson County Conservation Foundation…an organization that was established to help with fundraising and assist the Naturalist with things such as bus tours and educational programs.
Tickets for Saturday’s event are 55-dollars each if purchased in advance or 65-dollars at the door.
