(Spencer)– A young child is getting the credit for an attempted burglary at her Spencer house Saturday morning.
Spencer police were called to a residence in the 1100 block of 18 Avenue West just after 3:00 a.m. Saturday. David and Roxanne Crew told police that someone had just entered their home and was scared off when their daughter up. They told police the man entered the home and started walking down a hallway. When he entered the daughter’s room and shined a flashlight, the girl awoke, startling the wouold-be burglar. The man ran out of the home and took off in a vehicle that was parked nearby. Police canvassed the area, but were unable to locate anything.
The suspect is described as a male, five-feet eight-inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds.
