Suspicious Vehicle Report Results In Drug Charges Against Two People

(Webb)– Two people from Laurens, one of them a teenager, have been arrested on drug charges following an investigation by Clay county authorities into a report of a suspicious vehicle at a gas station in Webb.

The Sheriff’s Office says 20-year-old Justin Slattery was arrested after a deputy found some drug paraphernalia in the back seat of his car. Slattery was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and was booked into the Clay county jail.

A 15-year-old female from Laurens was also taken into custody. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance…prescription pills; possession of tobacco…third offense; and possession of drug paraphernalia. The juvenile was released to the custody of a parent.

The arrests were made shortly before 4:00 a.m. Tuesday.
