Assault Complaint Results In Drug Charges Against Rural Sioux Rapids Man

(Sioux Rapids)– What started out as an assault complaint has resulted in drug charges against a rural Sioux Rapids man.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it received a report of an assault shortly before 8:00 p.m. last Thursday. Upon investigating consent was granted to search a residence at 4690 Highway 71 near Sioux Rapids. Deputies turned up drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

18-year-old Camaron Patrick was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia…also a simple misdemeanor. Patrick was booked into the Clay county jail.
