(Spirit Lake)– A weekend traffic stop in Spirit Lake has resulted in drug charges against a local resident.
Spirit Lake police say they pulled over a vehicle around 9:20 p.m. Saturday for a routine traffic stop. It led to a search of the vehicle by the department’s K-9 Unit, Zeke. It resulted in the discovery of drug paraphernalia and a substance alleged to be methamphetamine.
The driver, 39-year-old Robert Leroy Carlson of Spirit Lake, was booked into the Dickinson county jail for possession of a controlled substance…methamphetamine; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
