Search Of Spencer Residence Results In Arrests Of Five People

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A search warrant executed last Friday on a Spencer residence has resulted in the arrests of five people on drug charges and for interfering with official acts.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says the search was conducted shortly before 11:30 p.m. Friday at an apartment at 218 West Sixth Street in Spencer. Deputies found numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia. Arrested at the scene were 18-year-old Christopher Marble of Spencer and a 14-year-old female juvenile. Both were taken to the Clay county jail. Marble was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor…and was also wanted on a felony arrest warrant out of Nebraska for possession of a controlled substance–methamphetamine. Marble is being held in the Clay county jail on bond of 25-thousand dollars. The 14-year-old juvenile was cited in juvenile court for possession of drug paraphernalia and was released to the custody of her parents.

Authorities say a short time later, a resident of the apartment that was searched…18-year-old Joshua Haburn of Spencer…was found in the 200 block of West Sixth Street in Spencer. Haburn was arrested in connection with the charges stemming from the search. He was charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia…simple misdemeanors…and interference with official acts.

Also arrested were 18-year-old Eric Khounlo of Spencer and a 17-year-old male juvenile. They were charged with interference with official acts. Haburn and Khounlo were booked into the Clay county jail; the 17-year-old was cited in juvenile court and released to the custody of his mother.
