(Emmetsburg)– Underage drinking kept police in Emmetsburg busy over the St. Patrick’s Day weekend.
On Friday, police arrested 19-year-old Matthew Berg of Aurelia on charges of public intoxication and interference with official acts.
Two teens from Cherokee and Emmetsburg were also arrested Friday for public intoxication.
Saturday, Emmetsburg police cited eight teens for drinking after busting a party at the Suburban Motel. 14 teens were busted at a separate party Saturday.
In addition, 20-year-old Jared Alger of Milford was cited for underage possession of alcohol; a 17-year-old female from Algona was cited for drinking; and a 17-year-old from Storm Lake was cited for possession of alcohol under the legal age. All were released to the custody of their parents.
