(Milford)– Charges have been filed against a teacher’s associate in the Okoboji School District.
Court documents on file at the Dickinson County Clerk of Court’s Office accuse 48-year-old Mary Peters of using unreasonable force against a student causing bodily injury. Peters has been charged with child endangerment…a class “D” felony, and assault…a serious misdemeanor.
According to the documents, the alleged incident took place between 9:15 and 9:45 a.m. March 10th of this year at the Okoboji Middle School while Peters was supervising the student.
She was ordered to have no contact with the student or the student’s parents.
